D. GLENN SMITH
B.SC. (HE), CRSP, AMRT

President & Senior Project Manager

Since 1989 Mr. Smith has provided consulting, inspection and testing services to a wide variety of institutional, commercial and industrial clients throughout Ontario and other regions of Canada. Mr. Smith’s experience has been diverse, progressive and successful over the years.

A large portion of Mr. Smith’s activities include providing recommendations on building materials containing asbestos or other designated substances such as lead, silica, mercury, and mould, as well as designing and developing mould and asbestos management programs, designing remediation programs and contract specifications, budget estimating, tendering of remediation projects, tender evaluation/ recommendations and providing Project Management services over the course of a remediation project.

Mr. Smith has been active with industry associations including the Environmental Abatement Council of Ontario (EACO) since 1995. As a director of EACO, Mr. Smith has been instrumental in assisting with designing and bringing remediation procedures to this industry. EACO routinely liaises with and brings ideas to the Ministry of Labour for consideration for updating MOL Codes of Practice.

WES HENRY
M.H.Sc., CIH, ROH

Principal & Senior Occupational Hygienist

Since 1993, Mr. Henry has been providing environmental consulting services to a wide variety of institutional, commercial and industrial clients; primarily in the Ontario region. Over his consulting career, Mr. Henry has been involved with numerous projects related to the assessment and remediation of building materials containing asbestos or other designated substances (lead, silica, mercury, etc.).

Mr. Henry has also performed numerous occupational hygiene assessments in industrial facilities for a variety of chemical hazards and physical agents such as welding fumes, noise, heat stress, lead, formaldehyde and isocyanates. He has significant knowledge and experience in conducting Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) assessments in institutional and commercial facilities. Mr. Henry has a great deal of hands-on experience in the field of water damage and mould, associated with conducting initial assessments to providing direction, inspection and testing services throughout various phases of the restoration/remediation process.

As a Principal of Safetech Environmental Limited, Mr. Henry is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the technical aspects of site work and reporting through the development of Standard Operating Procedures. Mr. Henry also conducts peer reviews of reports and provides expert witness testimony in various litigious matters.

ROMEO MILANO

Since 1989, Mr. Milano has been providing consulting, inspection and testing services to a wide variety of clients within Ontario including institutional, commercial and industrial facilities. A large portion of Mr. Milano’s responsibilities includes providing recommendations on identifying and abating hazardous building materials such as asbestos-containing materials and mould contaminated building materials. Often these projects are for larger high profile clients where Mr. Milano’s many years of experience is required.

Mr. Milano’s activities include designing and developing mould and asbestos management programs, designing remediation programs and contract specifications, budget estimating, tendering of remediation projects, tender evaluation/ recommendations and providing Project Management services over the course of a remediation project.

Mr. Milano also sits on numerous industry boards including The Toronto Construction Association (TCA) where he served a 2 year term as Chair and continues to sit on the executive board; The Council of Ontario Construction Associations (COCA) and the Canadian Construction Association (CCA).

    Since 2000, Mr. D’Aloisio has been providing consulting inspection and testing services to a wide variety of clients within Ontario including institutional, commercial and industrial facilities. He has experience in asbestos, mould contamination, designated substance’s surveys, abatements, indoor air quality (IAQ’s), Phase I and II environmental site assessments, and industrial hygiene.

    Mr. D’Aloisio’s strong construction background coupled with his strong leadership skills and diverse experience of the industry has proven beneficial in providing clients and contractors with direction and resourceful solutions for a wide variety of projects.

    Mr. D’Aloisio heads the hazardous materials group and mentors Safetech’s junior project managers and technical staff in the process of obtaining professional status to further individual careers.

    Since 2007, Mr. Green has been providing consulting, inspection and testing services to a wide variety of clients within Ontario, Alberta, and Saskatchewan including institutional, commercial and industrial facilities. A large portion of Mr. Green’s responsibilities includes providing recommendations on building materials containing asbestos or other designated substances such as lead, silica, mercury, and mould, as well as designing and developing mould and asbestos management programs, designing remediation programs and contract specifications, budget estimating, tendering of remediation projects, tender evaluation/ recommendations and providing Project Management services over the course of a remediation project.

    Mr. Green’s background has allowed him to design and implement numerous training courses since 2007 that focus on occupational health and safety for engineers, architects, contractor personnel, building managers, maintenance technicians and health and safety personnel.

    Mr. Valenti’s strong leadership skills and diverse experience of the industry has proven beneficial in providing clients and contractors with direction and resourceful solutions for a wide variety of projects.

    Robert joined Safetech in August 2013. Mr. Fuller's responsibilities include the performance of Environmental Compliance Approvals (ECAs) for institutional, commercial and industrial facilities; conducting environmental assessments for tank removals, verification sampling of soil and groundwater and contaminated sites; and has assisted in the management of Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Projects and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment projects on behalf of clients. This includes project coordination, regular communication with clients, contractors and suppliers, site supervision, Job Safety Analysis (JSA) protocols, and draft reporting. His responsibilities include inspection, sampling and reporting while upholding the highest levels of quality control and quality assurance.

    Mr. Gore also has performed occupational hygiene assessments and has knowledge and experience in conducting Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) assessments in institutional and commercial facilities.

    As the General Manager of South Western Ontario, Jeremey is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s activities in SWO including staffing, mentoring, sales/ marketing and the overall operational decision making process.

    Since 2007, Mr. Mitanis has been providing occupational and industrial hygiene related consulting services to a wide variety of clients in Ontario, including institutional, commercial and industrial facilities. Mr. Mitanis has performed numerous assessments for mould contamination, hazardous material assessments/surveys and assessments for airborne hazards including contaminants such as mercury, lead, silica, formaldehyde, asbestos, etc. Mr. Mitanis also has significant knowledge and experience with mould and all aspects of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ).

    Mr. Mitanis is responsible for providing oversight for all phases of occupational hygiene related projects and has gained significant experience in all stages in asbestos abatement, mould remediation and water damage restoration. This includes preparation of proposals, design of assessment and sampling programs, performing site investigations and air sampling, and providing recommendations based on results. Additional responsibilities include training and overseeing the work of occupational hygiene technicians.

    Senior Project Manager - Insurance / Restoration Division

    Louis Le Tarnec has been working in the indoor environmental field since 2004 within the Ontario region. His supervisory role in environmental contracting provided a significant amount of hands on site experience navigating various industrial, commercial and residential phases of the environmental remediation process. Mr. LeTarnec developed a keen eye for indoor environmental conditions leading into consulting and the project management of large scale indoor environmental projects including mould remediation, asbestos abatement, lead abatement, smoke and fire remediation, indoor air quality and disaster restoration projects.

    This includes preparation of proposals, design of assessment and sampling programs, providing scope of work and specifications, performing site investigations and sampling, providing direction to contractors and reporting to clients. Mr. LeTarnec has also been responsible for project managing the environmental consulting for large scale multi-phase disaster restoration projects within major healthcare facilities and commercial sites throughout the GTA.

    Mr. Le Tarnec’s roll also extends into providing consultation for facility managers in managing their indoor environmental issues including mould management programs, asbestos awareness and management of infection control during construction in health care facilities.

    Since 2007, Mr. Miller has been providing environmental consulting services to a wide variety of residential, institutional, commercial and industrial clients, in Ontario and overseas.

    Mr. Miller has acquired experience in a wide range of projects including occupational hygiene, asbestos compliance audits, designated substance and hazardous building material audits, mould assessments, indoor air quality testing, noise exposure assessments, construction related infection control management, hazard assessments, and clandestine marijuana grow operation and methamphetamine laboratory assessment and clearance. Mr. Miller has worked for a diverse group of clients including health care facilities, educational facilities, school boards, government, building owners, property management firms, insurance agencies, and more, in both unionized and non-unionized environments.

    Mr. Milosh’s daily activities include designing and developing mould and asbestos remediation programs and articulating the scope of work to abatement contractors to follow, and providing inspection and testing services over the course of a remediation project.

    Carolyn has been with Safetech since June 2004. Ms. Cay is the company Comptroller and book keeper however, Carolyn also is responsible for Human Resources, organizing office operations and procedures, supervising office staff, liaising with clients, suppliers, and contractors, customer service, accounting, marketing, and general office administration.
