Since 1989 Mr. Smith has provided consulting, inspection and testing services to a wide variety of institutional, commercial and industrial clients throughout Ontario and other regions of Canada. Mr. Smith’s experience has been diverse, progressive and successful over the years.

A large portion of Mr. Smith’s activities include providing recommendations on building materials containing asbestos or other designated substances such as lead, silica, mercury, and mould, as well as designing and developing mould and asbestos management programs, designing remediation programs and contract specifications, budget estimating, tendering of remediation projects, tender evaluation/ recommendations and providing Project Management services over the course of a remediation project.

Mr. Smith has been active with industry associations including the Environmental Abatement Council of Ontario (EACO) since 1995. As a director of EACO, Mr. Smith has been instrumental in assisting with designing and bringing remediation procedures to this industry. EACO routinely liaises with and brings ideas to the Ministry of Labour for consideration for updating MOL Codes of Practice.
