Radon Action Month

This November marks the 10th anniversary of Radon Action Month, a month dedicated to raising awareness of the #healthrisks of radon and encouraging people in Canada to take action and test their #home.

#Radon is a naturally occurring, colourless and odourless radioactive gas. It comes from the decay of uranium, which is found in rock and soil. Radon can enter #buildings through cracks in the foundation floor and walls as well as other pathways such as #construction joints, gaps around service pipes, floor drains, and sumps.

Protecting against radon isn't just an option; it's a responsibility for #propertymanagers and building owners. Radon testing and mitigation are proactive measures that preserve health, ensure safety, and offer the reassurance of a truly secure building environment.
