Representing COCA at a Fundraiser

The Council of Ontario Construction Association (COCA) is raising concerns about the future of the construction industry. As such, concerned members including Romeo Milano, Current Chair of COCA met with Premier Doug Ford during a fundraiser for the PC Party that took place in Ottawa.

The main concern across the construction industry is the current and future labour shortages of electricians, plumbers, contractors, engineers and all those involved in our infrastructure. As such, numerous proposals to address solutions include lowering barriers of entry for competent foreign individuals, implementing awareness to our youth communities by removing harsh stigmas of the construction industry and reaching out to the power of women as they account for approximately 50% of the workforce that has not been tapped into. For more information please reach out to COCA via info@coca.on.ca and review the news and activities on their website at www.coca.on.ca.
